Castine offers a variety of perfect backdrops for engagement photos ranging from the Witherle Woods to the Back shore. During the early mornings of summer the town dock is my favorite location in Castine for engagement photos. During the summer that requires waking up around four in the morning. When Rachel first reached out to me about taking engagement photos I was a little hesitant to tell her what time we would need to meet up for a sunrise session. But she was all about it!

When I book my engagement session I offer recommendations for different locations but I typically try to leave the decision up to the couple. I want the locations to mean something to them. Luckily for me Rachel chose two of my favorite locations and another one that I had always wanted to shoot at.

We started off the morning taking photo’s at my all time favorite Castine engagement location, the Town Dock. Our next stop was Kenny Eatons and finally we finished up the day at the Castine Yacht Club. It was a foggy morning, which always worries my clients, but it provided the perfect moody back drop for photos.
