The Alamoosook Inn is the perfect lakeside maine wedding venue.

Abby and Anthony first through their mutual love of music while at Maine Maritime Academy, in Castine, Maine. Abby was in the middle of her freshman year and Anthony was a junior. Abby was getting ready to take over the SLICE worship team when she found out that Anthony played guitar. Almost every week they would stay after SLICE worship music rehearsal and talk. The rest is history.

Although Abby is originally from Texas they decided to get married in Maine. They decided that the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn, located in Orland Maine, provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding.

The wedding ceremony took place in the summer under a big oak tree by the lake. Abby’s step father officiated the wedding. Following the ceremony everyone moved inside the Inn for an evening full of laughter, singing and dancing.

In all honesty, she was initially our plan B (our original photographer had a scheduling conflict), but we loved her so much that we ended up being so glad our first photographer had to cancel on us. She is so full of life that you can’t help but feel comfortable around her. Her pre-shoot questionnaire asked insightful questions that helped her capture the perfect moments (e.g. she’d ask “what about that day are you most looking forward to” instead of “what do you want pictures of”), and she took in stride all of the little mishaps that happened throughout the day.
