“Helen was absolutely wonderful to work with! In all honesty, she was initially our plan B (our original photographer had a scheduling conflict), but we loved her so much that we ended up being so glad our first photographer had to cancel on us. She is so full of life that you can’t help but feel comfortable around her. Her pre-shoot questionnaire asked insightful questions that helped her capture the perfect moments (e.g. she’d ask “what about that day are you most looking forward to” instead of “what do you want pictures of”), and she took in stride all of the little mishaps that happened throughout the day. We absolutely adore our final pictures, and could not recommend her enough.” – Abby, Bride

Abby and Anthony met through their college’s Christian group (SLICE) when Abby was a freshman and Anthony was a junior at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine Maine. Abby was getting ready to take over the SLICE worship team when she found out that Anthony played guitar, so they initially got to know each other by talking about music. Because his schedule was the most flexible of the worship team members’, Anthony was scheduled to play almost every week, and almost every week they would stay late after rehearsal and talk, loosing track of time. A few months later, they had become such good friends that night, while they were on the phone, Abby asked, “so…are we dating?” and he replied “…yeah, I guess we are.” It was only about two months later that Anthony told Abby that he had a plan to propose to her, but they decided to keep it a secret for a while and wait until he got to meet/talk with both my parents before making it official.
Abby and Anthony got married by the lake at Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in Orland Maine.
